Children’s Dermatitis – Signs & Symptoms
Children’s Dermatitis, also known as ‘atopic dermatitis’ is an inflammatory skin condition characterised by an itchy, scaly red rash. In some children the itchiness is so severe it can interrupt their sleep and scratching their skin can lead to infection. Symptoms can be painful, cause blisters and changes to the colour of their skin. Rashes appear on the legs, arms, face and hands. Children with a family history of allergic conditions such as asthma or hay fever have an increased risk for developing eczema.
