Children’s chest infection, also called children’s bronchitis or children’s pneumonia is an infection to the airways or lungs and is common, especially after a cold or flu’.  Children’s bronchitis is mostly caused by a virus, whereas pneumonia is caused by bacteria.   Infants and young children, especially if they have developmental problems are at higher risk of developing childhood bronchitis.
