Chia pudding is incredibly healthy for your child. This is because chia seeds are loaded with omega 3 fatty acids, protein, antioxidants and gut loving fibre. The soluble fibre in chia seeds can help with keeping children feeling full in between meals and if help encourage daily bowel movements if they are prone to constipation.

Crunchy, tasty, and highly nutritious, carrotsare a particularly good source of beta carotene, fibre, vitamin K1, potassium, and antioxidants.

They also have a number of health benefits. What’s more, their carotene antioxidants have been linked to a reduced risk of cancer.

Carrots are found in many colors, including yellow, white, orange, red, and purple. Orange carrots get their bright colour from beta carotene, an antioxidant that your body converts into vitamin A.

Chia seeds are a rich source of omega-3 essential fatty acids, powerful antioxidants and minerals. The healthy oils power babies cell growth, immune function and brain development.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Place the chia seeds, carrot, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract and milk to a bowl and mix until combined.

  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours and preferably overnight.

  3. Before serving, give it a stir to break up any lumps.

  4. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Note

Makes:  1 ¼ cups

Freeze: Not suitable.
