Bone marrow is a baby superfood loaded with iron, zinc, B-group vitamins and the fat-soluble vitamins A, K and E required for healthy immunity
Ingredients
- Bone marrow bones (organic, pasture raised bones if possible)
- (Cut half lengthways to expose the marrow in the middle of the bone)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a roasting dish with baking paper.
- Roast the bones, marrow side up for 20 minutes or until the marrow is cooked and pulling off the bone.
- Roast the bones, marrow side up for 20 minutes or until the marrow is cooked and pulling off the bone. Once the bones are cool enough to touch, scoop the marrow from the bone into a bowl plus any juices that have collected on the baking paper and place in the fridge to completely cool.
- Using a whisk or blender, whip until fluffy and white.
- Bone marrow lasts for up to 3 weeks in the fridge.
