Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions parents ask us most. Still unsure? We’re happy to help.

A children’s naturopath aims to understand why a child may be experiencing certain symptoms rather than simply focusing on the symptoms themselves.

During a consultation, we take a natural approach to health, looking at factors such as diet, digestion, sleep, immune health and lifestyle to gain a broader understanding of a child’s health and develop an individualised support plan.

We commonly support children with concerns such as:

  • Eczema and skin conditions
  • Food allergies and intolerances
  • Digestive issues and constipation
  • Recurrent infections
  • Asthma and allergies
  • ADHD and behavioural concerns
  • Anxiety and emotional wellbeing
  • Sleep difficulties

If you are unsure whether naturopathic support may be appropriate for your child, please feel free to get in touch.

Yes. We offer phone consultations for families throughout Australia, New Zealand and internationally.

Phone consultations are conducted in the same way as in-clinic appointments, allowing us to discuss your child’s health concerns, diet, symptoms and health history in detail before developing an individualised support plan.

Not necessarily. Recommendations are based on your child’s symptoms, health history and individual circumstances.

Where appropriate, testing may be recommended to provide additional information, however this is not required for every child.

Yes. Many of the children we see are also under the care of GPs, paediatricians, psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists and other health professionals.

Naturopathic care is designed to complement existing healthcare and can be used alongside conventional medical treatment.

Not always. Recommendations are tailored to each child and may include dietary, nutritional and lifestyle strategies.

Where appropriate, supplements may be recommended to help support your child’s individual health needs, however they are not required for every child.

Every child is different. Some families are looking for guidance around a specific concern, while others require longer-term support for more complex health issues.

Recommendations will vary depending on your child’s individual needs, symptoms and health goals.
