Chicken Liver Pâté

⏱ 25min

Babies have a small stomach, so each mouthful of food needs to be as nutrient dense as possible and this pâté packs a nutritional punch

Ingredients

  • 250 g chicken livers – trimmed (grass-fed or organic)
  • 1 onion (finely diced)
  • 1/2 cup bone broth or water
  • 2 tbsp butter (unsalted)
  • 1 clove garlic (crushed)

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients, except the butter to a saucepan and bring to the boil then reduce heat to a simmer and cook for approximately 15 to 20 minutes or until the liver is cooked through with no pink meat when the liver is cut in two.
  2. Strain the liver mixture through a sieve to remove excess liquid. Place the livers into a bowl adding the butter and use a stick blender or transfer to a food processor and blend until smooth.
  3. Divide into small portions and freeze.
