This egg and avocado combo is super nutritious first food to feed your baby. Egg yolk contains a vitamin called choline, a gamechanger when it comes to your baby’s cognitive development.
Avocado are a good source of five essential nutrients to support children's health – fiber, vitamin C, magnesium, folate and vitamin K. These essential nutrients support healthy growth and bone health and help support the immune system. They are also sodium and cholesterol free.
These are perfect to serve when your baby is wanting to feed themselves. Coating slices of avocado gives a helping hand to grip this slippery fruit.
Heat a small saucepan of water over medium heat and bring to the boil.
Add one egg and cook for 5 minutes, remove egg from the saucepan and allow to cool.
When cool enough to touch, peel away the egg shell and egg white leaving the yolk.
Puree the egg yolk and avocado using either breastmilk or bone broth.
