08 Oct Chocolate Avocado Brownies – For Children’s Natural Health

Healthy children will love these delicious velvety brownies.
2 cups almond flour
3 eggs, organic
¼ cup almond milk
¾ cup cocoa powder
½ cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
½ teaspoon sea salt
1 ripe avocado, peeled and seed removed
2 tablespoons coconut oil
¼ cup cocoa powder
2 tablespoons honey
- Preheat oven to 160oC. In a bowl whisk eggs, almond milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla essence, coconut oil and sea salt.
- Fold through the almond flour until well combined.
- Bake in a rectangle pan on 160oC for 40 minutes or until centre is firm to touch.
- Set aside to cool in the pan. For the icing, blend all ingredients in a blender. Cover the top of the brownie with a thick layer of mixture and cut into squares.
